On May 17 and 18, 2019, the 9th annual meeting of the Public Affairs Community of Europe (PACE) was hosted by the Association of Public Affairs Agencies (APAA) in Prague. APAA was represented by its chairman Václav Nekvapil. The main topics of this year’s PACE annual conference included lobbying, representation of interests in today’s Europe, legislative proposals on the lobbying regulation, and last but not least, how to improve the reputation of lobbyists. Representatives of European public affairs agencies, MPs of three Czech political parties, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the European Commission, Transparency International, Charles University, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic and others met to discuss the current issues in the field of public affairs. Presentations from the conference are available here.
PACE connects national platforms and public affairs associations from different European countries. Its goal is to promote transparency, provide support, share information and bring together professionals who operate at a national or European level.
