ABOUT US
The Association of Public Affairs of the Czech Republic (APA) was founded in May 2012 – until 2022 known under the name of Association of Public Affairs Agencies of the Czech Republic (APAA). Since its foundation it has gathered the largest Czech agencies whose activities include lobbying services and representation of interests for corporate or smaller entrepreneurs and professional associations. In the year of its 10th anniversary, it has also enlarged its ranks to include membership of individual Public Affairs professionals.
Members of APA believe that lobbying is a necessary and integral part of a plural democratic society. The main aim of the association is to increase transparency and professionalism in the lobbying industry, debunk common myths and misunderstandings about lobbying, which are still very much present, and also to educate the general public about the nature and means of lobbying. APA is a partner to the Czech Government in the area of lobbying regulation, cooperates with a variety of NGOs, and hosts various seminars, conferences, and roundtables.
