APAA took part in a P.A.C.E. meeting

Chairman of the Association of Public Affairs Agencies, Václav Nekvapil, represented APA at a conference that took place in Vienna on May 7th and 8th, 2015. The conference was organized by the Public Affairs Community of Europe (P.A.C.E.), a platform gathering national organizations of PA professionals from 16 European countries. The conference had speakers from the OECD, Transparency International, and Brussels-located organizations (SEAP, EPACA). Attendees spoke about the criticism of lobbying while agreeing that lobbying, if carried out professionally and honestly, can guarantee greater democratic participation. 

The Public Affairs Community of Europe, was established in 2011 wit an objective of consultation between public affairs associations in Europe, while comparing different national experiences with lobbying.
